The New Psychology of Work

How AI is changing behaviour, belief, influence and performance inside organisations.

02 · THE KEYNOTE

AI adoption is not only a technology challenge. It is a psychology challenge. Inside organisations, AI changes how people behave, what they believe, who they trust, how they make decisions and how they understand their own value at work.

The New Psychology of Work explores the behavioural layer of AI transformation: the part that is often underestimated until adoption slows, resistance rises or performance fails to match expectation. The keynote helps leaders understand why people do not simply adopt new systems because they are useful. They adopt when the change makes sense to them, when they trust the leadership context and when they can see how their own capability remains relevant.

Dr Kate Barker examines the psychological shifts AI creates inside organisations: confidence and fear, belief and scepticism, influence and status, capability and identity. She shows why leadership communication, manager behaviour and organisational trust matter as much as technical rollout.

This keynote is especially suited to CHROs, CEOs, transformation leaders, culture events, leadership conferences and executive retreats. It gives leaders a practical lens for understanding the human behaviour behind AI adoption and organisational performance.
